Laptop freezes when charger is plugged in

I Suggest you try performing a Clean Boot. A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program.

 

Before you do Clean Boot, try to run Built-in Power Troubleshooter to see what it results.

 

* Press Windows Key then type ‘troubleshoot’ and hit Enter

* Select “View all” on the left panel and run “Power” troubleshooter from the list and see if it works.

* Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Apply repair automatically”.

Also, ensure to select Run as administrator.

* Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

a. Press Windows Key, type MSConfig in the search box and hit Enter.
